The most dominant landmark in the city is the state capitol, which unlike most US state capitols does not have a dome but rather a tall central tower. An observation deck on the 14th floor offers views to the far distance.
Other popular attractions in and around Lincoln include the Northeast Memorial Stadium, the Historic Haymarket, Foisom Children's Zoo, the Children's Museum, Liel Center for Performing Arts and the State Fair Grounds.
Most hotels and motels in Lincoln are located in the northern part of town, especially in close vicinit6y to the Lincoln Airport. All hotels are within 10 miles of downtown and the campus of the University of Nebraska.
